In the recent years the challenges for the advertising industry both at national and EU level have been increasing and therefore a need for addressing them in a consistent and coherent manner was identified by advertisers in Bulgaria. Issues like responsibility and self-regulation, advertising and children, effectiveness of investments in advertising, etc. brought up the necessity for the industry to engage and build a common front on such key issues of direct relevance to marketers.
Responsibility in marketing communications is a pre-condition for building and maintaining trust. The Bulgarian Association of Advertisers is at the forefront of efforts to set and enforce industry-wide standards for responsibility, based on clear, regulator-endorsed criteria.
